DAG server "gone", databases Disconnected and Resynchronizing

Hi

A customer had a major failure in their SAN today. Every server in VM-ware went down at the same second.

Now I miss one server in the DAG. It might be broken.
All the databases that were active on that server are still not mounted. I guess there are missing logs, so it can't mount.

What can I do?
1. wait for the last server to come online

2. Force the databases online on the two remaining servers - with dataloss? I was thinking of the switch -SkipActiveCopyChecks

but what will then happend if the last server comes online later?

I need a plan. Any input are appreciated :-)

Hi Steen

As of now you can bring those databases online on the other 2 servers with dataloss

Wait till that VM is back the third server

once that server is back try to re-synchronize the copies on them

If that does not help then you have to reseed the copies which will be a painful task for you

Hi Sathish

Thanks. I Opened a ticket at MS support. In the meantime the servergroup and VM-ware support were able to get the last server online and everything went fine.

I then could close the ticket again :-)
